Night With The Opera

Opera Grand Rapids’ annual gala is the centerpiece in our annual fundraising. Each year we raise funds that support our artistic and educational programming while inspiring and entertaining our honored guests.

This year’s gala will feature Opera Grand Rapids’ popular Hip Opera. Launched in early 2024, with four repeat performance requests, the program is a love letter from opera to Hip Hop, as it celebrates 50 years as a genre. Audiences learn about the many similarities between the genres and hear covers of popular hip hop songs fused with opera favorites. One of OGR’s most popular shows, audiences have increased in size with each performance, reaching thousands of spectators.

A ticket to the event includes dinner, an open bar, and entertainment. The evening will also feature a short program highlighting our collegiate award winners and the announcement of the 2025/26 season.

Opera Grand Rapids is an integral part of our city’s artistic fabric and funds raised at this event will directly support our mission based work.
