Friends of the Opera, an affiliate support group for Opera Grand Rapids, offers pre-performance discussions prior to each opera performance. The talks provide patrons with intriguing information about the opera’s story, composition history, character development, political and cultural reception and much more! The talks are complimentary to ticket buyers.
Friends of the Opera (FOTO) began in 1974 as a support group for Opera Grand Rapids. As an independent non-profit organization with more than 175 members, FOTO works to promote the love of opera in West Michigan.
